About

My name is Edwin Porter-Daniels, and I am a research assistant and prospective PhD student at the University of Reading, UK.  I work in the School of Systems Engineering and my interests and research areas are:

• Ontologies and Folksonomies
• Social Networks and Social Networking
• MUVES and 3D worlds

As well as this, I am passionate about politics, literature, art, drama, and gaming.  I am the founding member of the Reading Ankle Lamps, a comedy troupe who provide sketch-based comedy through the web, and I also help out a few university societies on the side.  On top of this, I (for my sins) am an officer in the international gaming group Camarilla, and run a number of live action roleplay games on a monthly basis.
